Coal India & DVC Join Forces for Major Power Expansion ⚡🏭

- CIL and DVC signed a JV agreement on November 7, 2025.

- The JV will establish a 2×800 MW thermal power project at DVC's Chandrapura TPS, Jharkhand.

- Future projects may include thermal and renewable energy, with or without storage.

- Equal 50% shareholding between CIL and DVC.

- Initial paid-up capital: ₹10 lakh; authorized capital: ₹10 crore.

- JV to be a Private Limited Company based in West Bengal.

- Each party nominates three directors.

- 5-year share transfer lock-in from project's Commercial Operation Date.

- No related party transactions involved.

- Aims to bolster energy security for DVC valley and wider India.
