Coal India FY26 Results: Revenue Dips Slightly, Profit Down 12% 📉
- Consolidated revenue: ₹1,68,400 crore (slight decrease of ₹777 crore vs. FY25)
- Profit After Tax (PAT): ₹31,071 crore (12% decline from ₹35,450 crore)
- Coal production: 768.19 million tonnes (2% decrease)
- Coal offtake: 744.88 million tonnes (2% decrease)
- Raw coal inventory: 129.96 million tonnes (21% increase as of March 31, 2026)
- Earnings Per Share (EPS): ₹50.46 (down from ₹57.61)
- Commissioned a 100 MW solar power plant in Patan
- Formed new renewable energy subsidiary: CIL Rajasthan Akshay Urja Limited
- Received first dividend of ₹404.37 crore from joint venture HURL
- Entered 50:50 JV with DVC for 1,600 MW thermal power project
- Secured rare earth element block in Maharashtra
- Employee benefit expenses: ₹46,425 crore (4% increase, includes ₹1,458 crore one-time provision)
- Other expenses: ₹44,264 crore (9% increase, due to higher rates and taxes)
