🚢 CONCOR to Develop New CFS Near Vizhinjam Seaport in Kerala

- CONCOR signed a non-binding, non-exclusive MoU with Vizhinjam International Seaport Ltd. (VISL) on 23 February 2026.

- The MoU aims to develop a Container Freight Station (CFS) near Vizhinjam International Seaport in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

- VISL will provide land for the CFS on mutually agreed terms, with both parties collaborating on its development.

- The CFS will include a Customs-bonded area, warehouse, container handling and storage yards, import-export cargo handling, weighbridges, and related services.

- The partnership aims to strengthen multimodal logistics capabilities and improve cargo handling efficiencies at Vizhinjam, a key upcoming deep-water transshipment hub.

- This supports CONCOR's strategy to expand rail-led multimodal logistics infrastructure and enhance India's EXIM trade ecosystem.
